Girls basketball: Mesa falls in overtime

LAKEWOOD - The Costa Mesa High girls basketball team took Gahr High

to overtime, but came up on the short end of a 67-65 decision in

Mayfair-Bellflower Tournament consolation action Saturday morning.

Nancy Hatsushi led the Mustangs (1-3) with 24 points, eight assists

and five steals, while Rhondi Naff added 14 points.

The Mustangs led by seven after the first half, but could not hold on

down the stretch.
