* City Drive: A grand theft of more than $400 was reported in the 500

block at 1 p.m. Thursday.

* Avocado Street: Jewelry valued at $6,000 was reported stolen from a

home in the 700 block at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday.

* West Balboa Boulevard: Possession of a controlled substance was

reported at 20th Street at 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

* Basswood Street: A rug was reported stolen from a home in the 2600

block at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.
