* Capital Street: An auto theft was reported in the 900 block at 2:04

a.m. Sunday.

* Cleveland Avenue: Graffiti was reported in the 3000 block at 8:15

a.m. Sunday.

* West 19th Street and Meyer Place: An assault was reported at 1:32

p.m. Sunday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* East Coast Highway: An unknown amount of money was reported stolen

from a business in the 3600 block at 2:49 p.m. Sunday.

* Newport Center Drive: A laptop computer, wallet, passport and visa

were reported stolen from a hotel room in the 900 block at 12:53 a.m.

Sunday.

* River Avenue: Vandals reported uprooted a mailbox in the 5500 block

at 3:40 p.m. Saturday.
