Briefly in education

Orange Coast College on Nov. 9 will present its College Fair, with

recruiters from 18 public and private universities on campus.

The event will include representatives from the University of

California and California State University systems.

In addition to OCC students, high school students and community

members are welcome to attend. Recruiters will be stationed in the Quad

from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will hand out information about

transfer requirements, admissions procedures, scholarships, fees, housing

and other aspects of university life.

Of Southern California’s 57 community colleges, OCC is tops in

transferring students to four-year universities.
