SCHOOL LUNCH MENU
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot
entree. School lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or cheeseburger on a bun with
lettuce and cherry tomato; choice of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
No school -- teachers’ workshop day
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or pasta with meatballs, crisp green salad with
lowfat dressing, homemade dinner roll, choice of fruit or apple juice,
choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or French bread pizza, crisp green salad with
lowfat dressing, fresh fruit selection, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or all-beef hot dog on a bun, potato smiles,
choice of fruit, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
