resident Frank J. Ford has been appointed senior vice president of

Fountain Valley was promoted to cadet sergeant of Alpha Co. at St. John’s

Military School . . . Army Maj. Jeffrey J. Vieira of Fountain Valley has

arrived for duty at Wiesbaden Air Base in Germany. Vieira is a medical

specialist assigned to the 3rd Support Command . . . Karel Vidlak has

been appointed banquet manager at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.

Vidlak has most recently been the executive restaurant manager at the

Regent Las Vegas Resort in Summerlin, Nevada . . . Natalie M. Watkinson

of Huntington Beach is a first-year student at Southern Methodist

University this fall. She is one of 1,278 members of the class of 2004 .

Huntington Beach resident Alexander Phillips joined the Peace Corps as a

secondary education volunteer. Phillips will be assigned to the Ukraine

to work with high schools to teach English as a foreign language and to

work with local counterparts there to improve English teaching

methodology and English teaching materials . . . Ocean View High School

added Kevin Fairman to its administrative team as the vice principal of

activities responsible for school activities, athletic programs and

Associated Student Body functions.
