Roller hockey: Kings defeat Penguins

The Kings defeated the previously unbeaten Penguins, 3-2, in fourth

and fifth grade boys roller hockey action from the Harbor Area Boys and

Girls Club.

Ryan Iverson’s goal with 26 seconds remaining broke the 2-2 tie and

gave the Kings the win.

The Kings were led offensively by J.P Hogan and Nyko Gonzalez, while

Bernie Tanner and Elizabeth and Nick Mamey anchored the defense.

In first, second and third grade action:

Kings 3, Red Wings 2 - Eric Sansam and Devon Gonzalez each scored for

the Red Wings, but the team fell one goal short.

Assists came from Matt Searcy and Jared Cassity, while the defense was

led by Brodi Beal, Brandon Booth and Logan Newett.
