Remember Benny Goodman? Clarinet virtuoso Abe Most and his orchestra
will team up with guest soloist Gisele MacKenzie to offer a tribute to

SUNDAY
It’s a Bach party. The Pacific Chorale will open its 33rd season at 7
p.m. in Segerstrom Hall, the Orange County Performing Arts Center, 600
Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Performances will include J.S. Bach’s
“Magnificat” and his “Missa Brevis in G minor.” Tickets are $15 to $49.

MONDAY
Have a musical Monday. Youngsters age 3 to 7 may participate in songs

TUESDAY
Three friends, a white painting and a crisis. This is the story of
“Art,” which will close Nov. 19 at the South Coast Repertory, 655 Town
Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Performances are held at 8 p.m. Tuesdays
through Saturdays, and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, with weekend matinees at 2:30
p.m. Tickets are $28 to $49; preview tickets start at $18. A

WEDNESDAY
Beethoven anyone? Watch pianist Angela Cheng, guest conductor James
Paul and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra perform Beethoven’s “Piano
Concerto No. 3” at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Orange County
Performing Arts Center, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Concert
