Girls tennis: Harbor outlasts Laguna Hills

LAGUNA HILLS - Kelly Nelson and Megan Hawkins won two of three

singles sets to lead the Newport Harbor girls tennis team to an 11-7 Sea

View League Victory Thursday.

Vanessa Dunlap also earned a key win in singles, while Harbor won six

out of nine sets in doubles play.

The Saliors improved to 11-4, 6-1 in Sea View League play and will

host Woodbridge on Tuesday.

Singles: Nelson (NH) lost to Lee, 2-6, def. Paul, 6-0, def. Imhos,

6-0; Hawkins (NH) lost 2-6, won 7-5, 6-0; Dunlap (NH) lost 3-4, 4-6, won

6-1.

Doubles: C. Khoury-D. Khoury (NH) lost to Hung-Lautenschlager, 0-6,

def. Paul-Terul, 6-0; def. Hick-Trimble, 6-4; Buder-McIntosh lost 1-6,

won 7-5, 6-2; Olson-Adams lost 0-6, won 6-4, 6-0.
