A home away from home. The Alzheimer’s Assn. of Orange County will

hold its 10th Empowerment series workshop. Deborah Newquist, director of

Senior Care Resources in Newport Beach, will speak at 9 a.m. Saturday

about different types of care facilities in Orange County that are

licensed to provide care away from home. The event will be held at the

Edwards Big Newport Theater, 300 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach.

A taste of Europe. The annual fall European Street Fair will be held

from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Cannery Village at 31st Street and

Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach. Participants will include art galleries
