LETTER OF THE DAY
Although I don’t agree with former City Manager Bob Wynn and his
stance on Measure T, I do respect him for having the guts to state his
position on the issues that affect the citizens of Newport Beach.
But Tom Thomson? What kind of weak-kneed, political double talkis
flowing from this guys’ lips?
It’s one thing to be diplomatic, but it’s another thing altogether to
talk and not say anything. Mr. Congenial on the City Council has shown in
the past that he is an affable person who changes his positions on the
issues depending on which way the wind is blowing and has the innate
ability to vote on issues differently than how he projects himself at
council meetings.
Maybe this is a commentary on politics in general, but I for one am
sick and tired (and I’m not going to take it anymore!) of these types of
“politicians” and would like to see individuals give of themselves
dedicated public service with conviction, without special interest
backing, to their communities.
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
