A four-vehicle wreck on the northbound San Diego Freeway near Harbor
Boulevard late Saturday snarled traffic and sent two Fountain Valley
residents to the hospital with injuries.
The collision took place at 7:15 p.m., according to a report released
by the California Highway Patrol. An Acura Legend involved in the crash
overturned, and its driver suffered a neck fracture. The passenger of the
car suffered lacerations and a sprained wrist.
Both of the injured parties were taken to Western Medical Center in
Santa Ana. A hospital spokesman said Sunday that no information was
available on their condition and their names were not released. Occupants
of the other cars involved in the collision were not injured.
The driver of the Acura was arrested for driving under the influence
of alcohol, according to the highway patrol.
