AYSO Region 120: Cosmic Blast defeats RSM

COSTA MESA - The Cosmic Blast, a boys under 12 APP soccer team from

AYSO Region 120, scored with two minutes remaining to defeat Rancho Santa

Margarita on Saturday.

The game-winning goal was scored by Luis Cozza off a pass from Adam

Seagondollar.

Caleb Burgess scored the game’s first goal for the Blast before the

defense, led by Ben Abbott and Dallas Smallcomb took control of the game.

Goalkeeper Thomas Kosnosky came through with multiple saves for the

Blast.

In boys under 10 action:

Tigers 2, Team #7 0 - The Tigers won their first game of the season

with two goals by Drake Brunette.

Scott Essen Jake Ferris and goalie Elijah Talley played well on

defense, while Yacet Acosta and Hector Solis controlled the midfield.

In boys under 12 action:

RedWings blow past Black Widows - Nick Straubel scored two first-half

goals, while Kenneth Zich, Nick Ippolito, Eddie Bello, Brandon Esping and

Nick Vinson each added goals in the second half for the RedWings.

Offensive support was given by Jonathan Scranton and Roger Infranca,

while Angel Garcia, Mario Osorno, Josh Berry, Josh Young and Matt Peterka

anchored the defense.

In the RedWings’ matchup with the Fighting Irish, Zich scored a big

fourth-quarter goal, while Ippolito, Scrantom and Peterka led the sharp

passing.
