FOUNTAIN VALLEY* Brookhurst Street: A forgery was reported in the
16000 block at 3:44 p.m. Oct. 4.
* Brookhurst Street: A petty theft occurred in the 16000 block at 5:33
p.m. Saturday.
* Brookhurst Street: Police responded to a report of vandalism in the
16000 block at 4:01 p.m. Oct. 4.
* Castile Circle: Police were called to an abandoned vehicle in the
18000 block at 3:57 p.m. Oct. 3.
* Euclid Street: A forgery was reported in the 17000 block at 4:55
p.m. Sunday.
* Euclid Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 17000 block at
12:53 p.m. Oct. 4.
* Harbor Boulevard: Police responded to a silent alarm in the 16000
block at 1:05 a.m. Monday.
* Slater Avenue: An audible burglar alarm sounded at 11:15 p.m. in the 11000 block Oct. 3.* Stilbite Avenue: A vehicle was reported stolen from
the 10000 block at 8:32 a.m. Oct. 5.
* Talbert Avenue: A disturbance of the peace was reported in the 11000
block at 11:46 a.m. Saturday.* Warner Avenue: Police responded to a
report of a grand theft auto in the 11000 block at 4:18 p.m. Oct. 5.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Beach Boulevard and Stark Avenue: A resident told police that a man
wearing tan pants and a plaid shirt was carrying a black marker and
tagging street signs and other objects near the intersection at 11:58
a.m. Oct. 3.
* Calneva Lane: A man told police at 6:08 p.m. Oct. 2 that his son
suffered bruises after he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident
while he rode his bicycle in the 14000 block.
* Coral Reef Drive: A woman told police at 10:46 a.m. Saturday that
someone was dumping human excrement on her Porsche because of a plumbing
dispute between the two at a condominium complex in the 400 block.
* Ernest Avenue: Someone reportedly tried to cash a forged $4,000
check at a bank in the 7000 block at 3:40 p.m. Oct. 2.
* Florida Street: Someone reported fireworks going off continuously in
an apartment complex in the 18000 block at 8:27 p.m. Friday.
* Forelle Drive: Police and firefighters responded to a building fire
in the 8000 block at 2:48 p.m. Friday.
* Grimaud Lane: Two swimmers were reported stealing a pair of kayaks
from an establishment in the 16000 block at 2:24 a.m. Oct. 4.
* Kensington Drive: Police responded to a man who reported a
15-year-old boy waving a sword in a threatening manner at the man’s
daughter at a home in the 9000 block at 8:54 p.m. Saturday.
* Lynn Street: A resident reported that a gunshot broke the window of
a home in the 16000 block at 3:22 p.m. Oct. 5.
* Mar Vista Avenue: A prowler was reported lurking outside a home in
the 6000 block at 2:57 a.m. Oct. 3.
* Meander Lane: Police responded to a family disturbance at a home in
the 20000 block at 10:22 p.m. Oct. 4.
* Slater Avenue and Springdale Street: A resident told police at 9:31
p.m. Saturday that a group of about 15 juveniles were throwing objects
that made a popping noise under passing cars in the intersection.
* Yorkshire Lane: A woman reported at 2:48 p.m. Saturday that her
17-year-old friend fraudulently ran up a $688 calling card bill addressed
to her home in the 15000 block.
* 5th Street: Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 200
block at 12:47 a.m. Sunday.
* 10th Street: A woman told police that someone had thrown a weed
eater through her front window and then sped off in a 1977 Chevrolet
Corvette in the 100 block at 6:59 p.m. Sunday.
