Girls volleyball: Harbor wins thrilling match over Santa Margarita

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA - Newport Harbor High’s girls volleyball
team outlasted host Santa Margarita in five games for a 15-6, 7-15,
13-15, 15-12, 16-14 nonleague victory Friday.
“It wasn’t that pretty of a match, but we’ll take it,” said Harbor
Coach Dan Glenn.
The Sailors won the final game when they came back from a 13-11
deficit. Kirstin McClune, who had 11 kills, served for the final two
points.
Taylor Govaars led Harbor with 24 kills, while Allison Jennings had
16. Liz Lord and Claire Allen slammed for 14 kills each.
