OCC men’s soccer: Pirates suffer first conference loss
IRVINE - Orange Coast College’s men’s soccer team lost for the
second time this season and the first time in Orange Empire Conference
play, falling 1-0 at Irvine Valley Friday.
The Pirates (7-2-4, 3-1-1 in the OEC) played more than half the match
shorthanded after Geno Vitale-Sansosti, who had a hat trick for Coast at
Cypress Tuesday, left with a red card in the 39th minute.
The match was scoreless at halftime, but IVC’s Alfred Kanu broke
through for the Lasers with a goal in the 69th minute.
Coast goalie Hilario Arriaga finished with five saves.
