Club soccer: Sting wins fifth in a row
The Orange Coast United Sting, a boys under 19 silver elite soccer
team, won its fifth straight contest with a 2-1 win over the Arsenal
Soccer Club last weekend.
Troy Davidson, assisted by Billy Lund, scored the first goal in the
game’s first minute of play.
After the Arsenal tied the score, Ryan Lancaster, off a pass from
David Jenkins, scored the game-winner on a direct kick.
The offense was supported by Michael Culp, Christian Jordan, Brendan
Fenno, Jose Perez, Chasen Marshall, B.J. Vandrovec, Scott Nickerson and
Chris Baez, while Bijan Ewalt, Brian Walton, Jeff Kinkopf, Brian Henry
and goalkeeper, Sam Koons, anchored the defense.

continued its winning ways with a win on Sunday.
Elyse VanLeer, Courtney Anderson, Cindy Mendoza, Amy Staudinger and
Samantha Costilla each scored goals, while Robin Ibbetson added an
assist.
Goalkeeper Tori Rocke made several solid saves, while the defense was
led by Amanda Shaw, Brianna Baker, Jennifer Powell, Brittany Koster,
Sasha Key, Jaque Anderson and Chelsea Wisdom.
