SCHOOL LUNCH MENU
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers three menu choices
each day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree
if desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with string cheese or French bread pizza, choice
of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Dannon fruit yogurt or two mini
cheeseburgers with lettuce and pickles, choice of 100% fruit juice,
choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or “Brunch for Lunch” -- cheese omelet, three
cherry tomatoes, mini cinnamon roll, choice of 100% fruit juice, choice
of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or bean and cheese burrito with tomato salsa,
choice of fruit, choice of milk, fresh baked cookie
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or grilled cheese sandwich, glazed cherries,
choice of 100% fruit juice, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
