Candidates running for seats on the Costa Mesa City Council will have
their first debate today.
The debate, organized by the Mesa Verde Homeowners Assn., will begin
at 6:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave., Costa
Mesa.
Former mayors and nonprofit political groups in the city have
submitted questions for the debate.
Possible topics include the Home Ranch development, urbanization
limits, housing issues, senior citizens’ needs, West Side redevelopment,
the East 17th Street improvement plan, the city budget and master plan,
the use of colored water and libraries.
If time permits, people attending the debate may also be allowed to
submit additional questions.
