Another ‘Skosh’ Monahan arrives

COSTA MESA -- There’s a new “Skosh” in town.

Deborah Monahan, wife of mayor and restaurateur Gary Monahan, gave

birth to 9-pound, 13-ounce Quin Patrick Monahan on Wednesday.

When asked how he felt to be a father for the fourth time, the senior

Skosh -- which means “little portion” in Japanese -- responded “tired.”

Monahan said his wife is also exhausted, but feeling well.

Young Quin will attract more activity to Monahan’s already busy

schedule. He’s spent most of his time at his new pub/steakhouse, Skosh

Monahan’s, since it was opened last month. And he’s even had some time to

help run the city.
