MISSION VIEJO - The Pacific Coast Bobby Sox Girls Fastpitch 10 and
under softball team dropped two tough games in the District All-Star
Tournament last weekend.
In the first game, West Fullerton defeated Pacific Coast, 8-5. Lindsay
Fry, Christie Mead, Jessica Knight and Caley Beltran were the offensive
stars for Pacific Coast, with Elena Redelsheimer and Kristen Benjamin
providing solid pitching early in the game.
Pacific Coast tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth inning before a Buena
Park came back for a 3-2 win. Alexandra Elias drove in the tying run with
a hit that scored Amber Easton. Elias, Katie Reagan and Rachel Parker
made several good defensive plays, and Redelsheimer, Benjamin and Parker
were effective in the pitching circle.
Pacific Coast plays in the Regional Tournament this weekend at Chula
Vista in an attempt to qualify for the Nationals.
