Police arrested three men on suspicion of robbing a Fountain Valley

cigarette store Monday.

The men -- Rasheed Cooper, 26, of Los Angeles; Kevin Baldwin, 23, of

Los Angeles; and James Terrell McDonald, 29, of Northridge -- have been

booked in Orange County Jail with bail set at $50,000 each.

Police said three men held up the Cigarettes Cheaper store on Garfield

Avenue at gunpoint early Monday and locked a store clerk inside the

bathroom. The robbers then loaded cartons of cigarettes into a

tan-colored, 2000 model Pontiac minivan and drove away.

Police said the clerk was not injured.

The three men were heading northbound on the San Diego Freeway, when

they were spotted by Fountain Valley Senior Officer Ken Hounsley, police

said. The officer pursued the men, but they escaped after ditching their

vehicle near Los Angeles International Airport and fleeing on foot.

Police arrested the men in the 5000 block of West 99th Place, Los

Angeles, around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Police seek suspect in Arby’s robbery

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery at an

Arby’s Restaurant on Saturday.

The suspect is described as a male in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall,

160 pounds, with black hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt, said

Sgt. Mike Mello of the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Mellow said the suspect entered the restaurant at 7942 Edinger Ave.,

posing as a customer and approached an employee. He told the employee he

had a gun hidden in his clothing and demanded money, police said. No

weapon was shown.

The employee handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before

he fled on foot, police said.
