Reds take first half title

Anthony Peralta, Matt Ayster, Andy Pierce, and MJ Forsberg each had
three hits Saturday and the Reds claimed the first half championship in
Ocean View Little League Minor A Division race by beating the Tigers,
15-2.
Peralta finished with three RBI and Billy Allen and Travis Sutton also
had key hits as the Reds ended the first half of play with a 9-1 mark.
Garrett Shin pitched two innings and also had a hit to lead the Tigers.
Prior to beating the Tigers, the Reds edged the Rangers, 10-8. Blake
Cestr singled with two RBI, Forsberg had two hits, and Kyle Hughes
pitched four solid innings during the victory.
Bryan Van Arsdale doubled twice to lead the Rangers.

Brewers 11, Red Sox 2
Scott Baxter had three hits and struck out seven in three innings
pitched, and Chad Smith and Charlie Pickle both finished with two hits
for the Brewers.

MINOR B DIVISION
Reds 18, Astros 5
Oliver Evans had an RBI and scored twice, Sean Rubino had an RBI, and
Austin Deuel scored twice to lead the Reds.

Slater Davies delivered four RBI, Riley Kuhl and Hayden Toney each added
three hits and three RBI, and pitchers Scott Kelly, Beau Amaral, and
Davies keyed the Orioles victory.
