* Charity: Adult Day Services of Orange County, in Huntington Beach

* How long volunteer: Since 1980

* Why she deserves kudos: Supplies food and comfort to those who need it.

Refoy has volunteered at three day care sites in her 20 years with the

group. During that time, she was employed for five years as a day care

services site manager.

Each Tuesday and Thursday, she helps in the activity room. “All of the

staff, participants and their families are forever grateful to the

abundant energy, love and time that Joyce continues to share,” said Gwen

Gadberry, the group’s volunteer coordinator.
