Softball: Mesa falls to Uni, 3-1

COSTA MESA - Costa Mesa scored first, but that was about it as the

Mustangs dropped a Pacific Coast League game to host University, 3-1.

Brooke Shanley tripled and scored on an error for Mesa (7-10, 4-3 in

league). But the Mustangs only had two more singles against Uni pitcher

Tiffany Waldman, one each from Brittney Newby and Michelle Nguyen. The

Trojans (6-16, 4-3) moves into a second-place tie with Mesa in the PCL
