NBLL AAA: Red Sox rally to win

NEWPORT BEACH - The Red Sox rallied with two runs in the bottom of
the final inning to defeat the Mariners, 12-11, in Newport Beach Little
League AAA Division action.
Blake Hayward clubbed a two-run home run in the last inning for the Red
Sox game-winner. He finished with two runs scored and four RBIs.
Garrett Amoroso and Drew Blake each made solid defensive plays for the
Red Sox.
Michael Page and Andrew Silva each had two hits for the Mariners.
In other AAA action:
Dodgers 15, Mets 5 - A seven-run sixth inning helped lead the Dodgers
over the Mets on April 7.
Michael Tanzer and Danny Moskovits had three hits for the Dodgers, while
Eric Barkley, Kevin Holland, Charles Vickery and Carlo Valdes each had
two.
For the Mets, Kyle Hill, Max Kanow, Tyler Johnson and Tommy D’Elisco each
scored runs.
Dodgers 17, Tigers 4 - Joseph Rose scored three runs to lead the Dodgers
over the Tigers.
Michael Tanzer and Danny Moskovits each had two hits, while Kevin Holland
had a double and two runs scored for the Dodgers.
Jeff Carlson ripped two hits to lead the Tigers.
Mariners 8, Dodgers 1 - Jack Lansford had two hits, including a triple
and two runs scored to lead the Mariners over the Dodgers.
Pitchers Andrew Silva and Andrew Drews combined to pitched a two-hitter,
striking out nine, while Anthony Bonilla led the M’s defense with a
strong play at second base.
Danny Moskovits pitched three strong innings for the Dodgers, while Sean
Berkeley was solid behind the plate, throwing out two Mariners runners.
Tigers 3, Braves 2 - James Petrilli pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings to
lead the Tigers over the Braves.
Andy Marrow and J.P. Gormly each had key hits in the Tigers’ three-run
fourth inning, while Kevin Molgenstern and Greg Stone each had big
defensive plays.
For the Braves, Parker Rhodes and John Leonard pitched well in the loss.
Tigers 12, Cardinals 7 - Nick Booth had a double and three RBIs to lead
the Tigers over the Cardinals.
Jeff Carlson and Jacob Goulding each pitched effectively for the Tigers,
while Austin Harms and Thomas Koss each had two hits for the Cardinals.
Angels 14, Cardinals 3 - The Angels used a 13-hit attack to knock out the
Cardinals.
Kevin Rask, Mats Abbott, Erik Rask and Mark Roudanez each had two hits
for the Angels, while Greg Wolonsky and Wil Wilkirson each made big
defensive plays.
Angels pitchers Shane Boras, Eric Rask and Fletcher Della Grotta combined
for a strong pitching performance.
For the Cardinals, Austin Harms and Spenser Singh each had two hits,
while Tom Koss an David Wheatley chipped in with a hit apiece.
