Mission OC Blades win in Arizona

The Mission OC Blades of Huntington Beach, a pair of travel teams
out of Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center, returned home recently with a
pair of championship trophies from from the TOUR Tournament held in
Phoenix, Ariz.
The Mission OC Blades 87, a Squirt team, won four games en route to the
division title, including three by mercying their opponent. Jason Krispal
scored 15 goals in those four victories to lead the Blades, who also
consist of PJ Kavaya, Brian Sakaguchi, Brett Yamoaka, Kelly Shiraki,
Salem Stephens, Tim Kraus, Derrick Burnett, Josh Laricchia, Michael
Urbano, Adam Sheldon, and coaches Clay Burnett and Ray Krispal.
The Mission OC Blades Red, a Mite team, won their division’s tournament
title by beating teams from Corona, Anaheim, Arizona, and Las Vegas.
The team, which already has qualified for July’s Nationals in Toronto, is
made up of Cody Ross, Ray Frianeza, Newman Collett, Olivia Jakiel, Dustin
Nowick, Kevin Morrison, Joey Laricchia, Dylan Cruz, Andy Jakiel, Ryan
Doyle, and coaches Kevin Doyle, Mark Nowick, and Chris Ross.
The Red team will be joined at the Nationals in Toronto by the Mission OC
Blades Black team, which also has qualified for the upcoming tournament.
Members of the Black squad include Jamie Rasmussen, Scooter Vaughn,
Dustin Fair, Kenny Gibo, Matt Leitner, Michael Juola, C.J. Stretch,
Trevor Wada, Todd Matthews, and Coach Ken Gibo.
