Newport Harbor’s boys swim team knocks off Back Bay and Sea View League

rival Corona del Mar, 83-73. The Sailors’ Rich Ruffini and Tom Nichols

each win one individual event and partake in both of Newport’s victorious

freestyle relay teams.

CdM’s girls swim team gets a 109-46 triumph over the Tars. Hillary Durdas

wins two events for the Sea Kings.

Estancia’s boys swim team defeats Saddleback, 89-67, in a Sea View League

dual meet. The Eagles’ Luis Uceda takes the 200 and 500 freestyle races.

In the Estancia girls’ 111-24 win over the Roadrunners, Jenny Sheldon is

victorious in the 200 individual medley.

CdM’s boys track and field team defeats Newport Harbor, 75-61. Mark

Barnum wins the 100 and 400 for the Sea Kings.

Newport Harbor’s girls track and field team edges CdM, 64-63. Julie

Thomas wins the 1,600 in a crucial victory for the Sailors.
