The Balboa Performing Arts Theater Foundation has appointed Rosalind

Williams to its board.

The president and CEO of the Newport Beach Conference and Visitors

Bureau, Williams will join the board in working to raise community

awareness and funds to renovate and operate the Balboa Theater.

The duties of marketing Newport Beach as a tourist destination and

helping to boost the Balboa Theater are closely related, Williams said.

“The rebirth of the Balboa Theater will add the cultural component that

is so vital to any city. The activities on Balboa Peninsula traditionally

have been a central focal point for visitors to our coastline,” she said.
