Softball: Moore, Harbor blank Northwood, 2-0

NEWPORT BEACH - Newport Harbor High freshman pitcher Kim Moore gave
up one single in seven innings, leading the Sailors to a 2-0 nonleague
softball win over visiting Northwood Tuesday.
Moore (7-1) struck out eight, walked one and had one of Newport’s three
hits. She won her fourth decision in a row.
The Sailors, 9-5, scored an unearned run in the first inning, and Lisa
Huntington drove in Newport’s other run in the sixth with a fielder’s
choice. Kristen Smith and Stephanie Ciralli had the other two hits for
the Sailors. The Timberwolves fall to 4-2.
