Baseball: Vanguard drops two

LA MIRADA - Vanguard University’s baseball team lost both games of
a Golden State Athletic Conference Double header to host Biola.
In the first game, the Eagles won a pitchers’ duel, 4-1. Biola’s Jeremy
Rouwenhorst defeated Vanguard’s Anthony Walker. Adam Steckler had two
hits for the Lions (4-24, 2-16 in conference).
Biola (23-7, 13-5) doubled up Vanguard in the second half of the double
header, 6-3, in seven innings. Steckler had two RBIs for the Lions and
Kevin Candelaria hit a two-run double.
