Baseball: OCC loses, 6-3

FULLERTON - After taking a 1-0 lead, Orange Coast College’s
baseball team had 14 batters retired in a row by Fullerton pitcher Bryan
Clarke en route to a 6-3 loss Saturday in an Orange Empire Conference
game.
Adam Anderson, Eric Wiethorn and Nick Orlandos each drove in runs for the
Pirates (8-15, 2-9 in conference). Anderson was the only OCC player to
have multiple hits, going 2 for 4 with a double. Ryan France got a double
and Blair Havens a triple for OCC. Fullerton’s Eddie Romprey hit a
two-run home run to wipe away the Pirates’ lead. Fullerton improved to
10-14, 3-7.
