Men’s golf - OCC wins key four-school conference battle

COSTA MESA - Brian Winston fired a two-under 69 to lead the Orange

Coast College men’s golf team to a Orange Empire Conference win over

Irvine Valley, Golden West and Cypress in Mesa Verde Country Club, par,

71.

OCC shot a 385, edging Irvine Valley (387) and Golden West (390). Cypress

was fourth with a 413.

Winston’s 69 was four shots better than anyone else in the four-school

field.

Mike Akahoshi (78), Eric Hird (79), Erik Hebert (79) and Kyle Wicks (80)

round out the scoring for OCC (15-4, 10-2 in conference).
