Fountain Valley Girls Softball registration
South Orange County Blue Jays hold tryouts
Fountain Valley Youth Baseball, affiliated with PONY Baseball,
Inc., will hold final sign ups for its Spring 2000 season on Saturday,
Jan. 8, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Fountain Valley YCommunity Center.
The center is located at 10200 Slater Ave., near City Hall.
Cost per player, per division, is as follows: Itty-Bitty T-Ball (Age 4,
$50); T-Ball (Ages 5-6, $70); Coach Pitch (Ages 7-8, $80); Pinto/Kid
Pitch (Ages 7-8, $100); Mustang (Ages 9-10, $120); Bronco (Ages 11-12,
$135), and Pony (Ages 13-14, $160).
Starting with the 7-8 year olds, Fountain Valley Youth Baseball, which
plays its games at Mile Square Park, offers two levels of competition for
each age group.

The next sign up session for Fountain Valley Little League’s Spring
2000 season will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Mile
Square Park. Boys and girls ages 5-16 are invited to register, and a
current utility bill (for residence verification) and a birth certificate
(proof of age) are required of each player at registration. For more
information, call the league’s hotline at 964-9925.
Fountain Valley Girls Softball is currently accepting registration
for its Spring 2000 season All girls, ages 4-14, are allowed to play, and
the league has no boundary restrictions. Registration will be taken Sat.,
Jan. 8, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Fountain Valley Community Center.
Evaluations will be held on Sat., Jan. 15, from 9:15 a.m.-2 p.m. at the
Oak Street Softball Fields (17210 Oak St.) in Fountain Valley. Division
registration fees are as follows: 6 & Under ($50); 8 & Under ($75); 10,
12, 14 & Under ($80). Each applicant is required to bring a birth
certificate to the registration. For more information, call the league

The City of Huntington Beach Community Services Department is
offering a Winter Slo-Pitch Softball League with a registration deadline
for sign ups set for Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000. All league games will be
played in the evening, Sunday through Friday, throughout the season. For
additional information and sign up applications, call 536-5486, between
the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The South Orange County Blue Jays club baseball team is forming
both 10-and-under and 11-and-under teams for its Spring 2000 season.
Games will be played on Sundays during the season, with the teams
competing in tournaments in Las Vegas, Cooperstown, Cathedral City, and
four World Series qualifying tournaments. Tryouts will be held Jan. 16.
