Man injured in shooting in Huntington Beach

A man was hospitalized after a shooting late Wednesday in Huntington Beach, police said.

Officers were called to the 2100 block of Florida Street at about 11:40 p.m., according to Huntington Beach police spokeswoman Angela Bennett.

Bennett said the man was hit by gunfire and taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Authorities did not immediately release further information.
