Laguna Beach police seek suspect in cellphone theft

Laguna Beach police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of stealing a cellphone from a vehicle last month on Blumont Street.

A man was seen in video surveillance footage riding up to an unlocked vehicle on a skateboard, opening the door and making off with a cellphone at about 4:10 a.m. June 24, police said.

Police described the man as in his early 20s, 160 pounds with short black hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants, knee-high black socks and black shoes.
