Classic-car fans took a ride into the past Saturday when the Kowabunga Van Klan showcased its vintage Volkswagen vans at the Huntington Beach Pier.

The display of beloved surfer transporters in varied colors and designs evoked 1960s nostalgia for many an admirer.
