Costa Mesa to recognize public safety

The Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce plans to host its annual public safety recognition barbecue Thursday.
The event gives locals a chance to say thanks to the men and women at the Costa Mesa police and fire departments.
Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.
Admission is free for public safety personnel and their families. For all others, it costs $10.
