Irvine Valley College ceremony commemorates 9/11

Irvine Valley College commemorated the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a presentation, lecture and exhibit Thursday.

The ceremony included demonstrations by emergency first responders, followed by a lecture on staying safe through cyber technology. The talk was presented by Martha Daniel, founder and president of IMRI, a technology and engineering company based in Aliso Viejo.

A 9/11 Memorial Exhibit is available for viewing through Friday in the lobby of the college’s Performing Arts Center, 5500 Irvine Center Drive. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
