The Newport Beach City Council will again discuss the city’s budget for the upcoming 2013-14 fiscal year at a study session before its meeting Tuesday night. During the main meeting, the council will likely set a public hearing for June 11, before that budget is approved.
The council will also take another step forward in the development of Marina Park by approving a Coastal Land Use Plan amendment.
Also on the agenda is a proposed $132,785 contract with Los Angeles-based Alta Planning + Design to develop a citywide bicycle master plan aimed at making the city a more navigable place for cyclists. The money would come from the city’s Bicycle Safety Improvement fund.
The council will meet for the study session at 3 p.m., then for the meeting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at 100 Civic Center Drive.
