Donald F. Julien was born in Bergenfield, New Jersey on August 11, 1922 to Florence and Fred Julien. He passed away peacefully on August 5th, 2012 due to natural causes, six days shy of his 90th birthday.

He was truly one-of-a-kind and a friend to all. His charm was enchanting and his jovial spirit contagious. Known for great stories about his carefree childhood, dating girls and being a male cheerleader for the football team in high school. Don loved the big band music, especially the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He joined the Air Force during the start of World War II, where he served as rank of sergeant in the Philippines. In 1958, Don and his family moved West, settling in Costa Mesa, CA. In 1962, Don became a State Farm Insurance agent and stayed in business for the rest of his life. State Farm considers him a beloved and legendary agent. Don and his wife, Carol, cherished their life in Newport Beach enjoying great friends and family.

Mr. Julien was preceded in death by his parents and loving sister, Betty.
Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol; children: Nancy Dugas (Bill);
Richard Julien (Janet); Steven Julien; Danielle Julien; stepchildren: Ron Levy (Carolyn); Susan Neas (Tom), Heather Julien (Marc), grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
