Lloyd also was a volunteer pediatrician on the St. Jude Care for the poor mobile health van for five years after he retired from private practice.

Dr. Carnahan continued his practice for over 40 years caring for generations of families and thousands of children. Lloyd touched many lives with his thoughtful medical care, his zest for life, humor, friendship and mentoring others. Lloyd enjoyed life and filled each day caring and giving to others. He loved his immediate family here in California and loved staying connected to his family in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Lloyd and his wife Ann Carnahan recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Lloyd is survived by his two sons and their spouses; Scott and Karen Carnahan and Jay and Kris Carnahan; his daughter and her spouse, Erin and Vaughn Barnes and his eight grandchildren; Cheyne, Courtney, Chase, Ashley, Conner, Christian, Allison and Katie.

We are saying our prayers thanking God for having Paca/Papa Lloyd in our life, and for his many contributions to others in the community. We will all miss Dr. Carnahan; a trusted family doctor, a husband, father and grandfather.
