Fairgrounds hearing is at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday
The hearing on whether the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds should go through is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana.
A group of businesses led by Jeff Teller, president of Tel Phil Enterprises Inc., filed a lawsuit alleging the state broke the law while attempting to sell the 150-acre property. The group also claim the state set the terms of the second bid to help Facilities Management West, the investment group that is buying the fairgrounds for $100 million, land the bid. Facilities Management said the process was fair to the public and the lawsuit is without any merit.
