Marina High’s Class of 2022 forges into future

The Marina High Class of 2022 went through a lot, from learning about the intricacies of Zoom to quarantines and everything in between.

The Vikings had a lot to celebrate, then, as their high school journey came to a close.

Marina held its commencement ceremony on Thursday at Westminster High, as 550 seniors graduated.

The Marina Viking choir sang the national anthem, as well as the song, “Seasons of Love.â€

Graduates and their guests also heard from student speakers Ryley Koch and Maci Hendry. Koch graduated Magna Cum Laude, was a multisport athlete and ASB vice president, while Hendry also was a multisport athlete.

Students were invited to submit a speech for graduation and the Marina administration team selected the two speakers, one from the Summa and Magna Cum Laude students and another from the graduating class.
