Public safety barbecue is Thursday

COSTA MESA — The public is invited to recognize local firefighters, police officers and 911 dispatchers with an appreciation barbecue Thursday at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

The Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the luncheon at the grounds from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.

Last year’s event included a routine by local cheerleaders and a martial arts demonstration by members of a local dojo.
