Valentine’s Day celebrations at the Sawdust Art Festival will take the form of Studio Art Classes.
On Feb. 14, guests can attend jewelry-making classes featuring fold-formed bracelets from 10 a.m. to noon and water-casting, which involves pouring molten silver into water, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The next day, teachers will offer a basic soldering session from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., explore encaustics from 10 a.m. to noon and create pendant sets between 2 and 4 p.m.

The Laguna Art Museum hosts Steven Nash, executive director of the Palm Springs Art Museum, at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
He will discuss artist Wayne Thiebaud’s work, which will be on display at the venue starting Feb. 23.
Admission is free for members and for nonmembers with museum admission.
