Art sought for juried exhibit

The Laguna Beach Arts Commission is seeking submissions to the sixth annual Juried Fine Art Exhibition.
The deadline is Sept. 9 and applicants should be Orange County residents 18 and older. Works must be two dimensional and measure no more than 36” x 36” framed. An entry fee of $25 is charged for up to three entries.
The competition will be juried by former Laguna Beach resident Max Presneill, director and curator of the Torrance Art Museum, a contemporary art museum in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, as well as the curatorial director for Artra Curatorial.
He is the founder and former director of Raid Projects (1999-2009) and a formerdirector of the Mark Moore Gallery (2005-08).
The first place winner will be awarded $1,000; second place $500 and third place $250.
Submissions must be made online at https://www.lagunabeachcity.slideroom.com. Selected works will be on exhibit from Oct. 15 through Nov. 29.
