Sherman Gardens shines for holidays

Sherman Library & Gardens in Corona del Mar showed off luminarias, lanterns and plenty of other festive decorations during its Nights of a Thousand Lights holiday display last week.

The gardens are open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at 2647 E. Coast Hwy., with special holiday decor through Jan. 4 (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 12 to 16 and free for children younger than 12. Monday admission is free.
