The 11th annual Art in the Park is set to take place Saturday at the Newport Beach Civic Center.
The event, sponsored by the Newport Beach Arts Foundation, will feature more than 100 artists exhibiting and selling original work. Attendees may view and purchase oil paintings, glass art, textiles, woodcrafts, photographs and more.
“It’s a potpourri of things,” said Peggy Spaulding, the event’s co-chairwoman. “I’m very excited.”
Kids will be invited to design their own art and paint masks for Halloween, and adults may use Sharpie pens to color silk scarves.
24 Carrots catering will provide appetizers and refreshments. Guests will be able to mingle with vendors.
“I love talking to all the artists,” Spaulding said. “They inspire me.”
The Newport Beach Arts Foundation supports programs such as the Newport Beach Film Festival, the Concerts on the Green series and cultural community events.
The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 100 Civic Center Drive. Admission is free. For more information, visit newportbeachartinthepark.com
