Laguna Beach High tennis courts to reopen Thursday
- Share via
A grand reopening ceremony is scheduled next week for the Laguna Beach High School tennis courts.
The ribbon-cutting starts at 4 p.m. Thursday. Light refreshments will be served.
Attendees are advised to wear tennis shoes and bring their rackets for an informal mixer following the ceremony.
The courts, used by both students and the community, were closed in August for a long-awaited resurfacing project. Crews repaired cracks and improved drainage on the courts.
The project was estimated to cost about $611,000, with the city paying 70% and the Laguna Beach Unified School District paying the remaining 30%. The city and district have a joint-use agreement for management of the courts.
